The goods are released into free circulation and any import duties and VAT are "transferred" directly to the tax authorities via the monthly credit. During customs clearance, which is possible at any unloading location in the Netherlands, the preceding document(T1, TIR, or B/L) is cleared and completed. After the message "Permission for removal" the consignment can be unloaded.
As a rule, it only takes about 10 minutes.
In Germany we are connected to the ATLAS system and take care of customs clearance for German recipients. The advance payment of "Einfuhrzoll" and "Mehrwertsteuer" works a little differently there, but is taken care of by our GmbH down to the last detail.
Temporary imports (refinement, repairs) and re-imports (returns) work in a similar way, but the coding is slightly different and the risk is also different.
